Creatively Driving the Economy
Join the Fort McMurray Chamber of Commerce for our upcoming May 1st Networking Luncheon, presented by Arts Council Wood Buffalo!
Delve into the vibrant world of arts entrepreneurship and witness firsthand the transformative power of creativity in our community.
Executive Director Liana Wheeldon will share highlights of Arts Council Wood Buffalo’s trajectory from incorporation in 2012 to its current status of launching a social enterprise: The Arts INCubator Project. Be among the first to witness the unveiling of a 3D walkthrough of the groundbreaking Arts INC project.
The presentation also will dive into Wood Buffalo's place within Alberta's $5.3 billion creative industry. Hear first hand from local artist-entrepreneurs and explore the power of the arts to drive economic development within a community.
After the presentation, engage with Arts Council Wood Buffalo in a Q&A, where you can delve deeper into the insights shared and gain valuable perspectives on the intersection of art, business, and community development.
This event will be filmed as a part of local film production company M'Guphynn Media's Telus STORYHIVE documentary, Rendering Visions, which follows the development of Arts INC, a creative campus and catalyst for downtown revitalization Fort McMurray. By signing a film release/waiver, you'll contribute to the broader promotion of our Chamber and community on a provincial and national scale.
Don't miss this opportunity to connect, learn, and celebrate the vibrant arts scene that enriches our community and economy. Reserve your spot today and be a part of this extraordinary event!
