Sign up for the Fort McMurray CIBC Run for the Cure on Sunday, October 4, 2026, at Doug Barnes Cabin for Canada's largest single-day, volunteer-led fundraiser for breast cancer. Since 1992, the event has raised more than $540 million to fund life-saving breast cancer research and provide compassionate support programs across Canada. Take a 1km walk or 5km run around the beautiful Birchwood Trail with your team, family, and friends. As a family-oriented event, we encourage all adults and children to participate in the Run to enjoy family time while fundraising for a charitable cause. The CIBC Run for the Cure is open to people of all abilities, accessible to those with strollers, and pet-friendly! On Run Day, registration opens at 9:30 AM, followed by our opening ceremonies at 10:30 AM. Finally, the Run will commence at 11:00 AM!
