Description
Join the Fort McMurray Chamber of Commerce and the RCMP for an open discussion on downtown safety, crime prevention, and community partnerships. Learn about upcoming RCMP initiatives, Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED) strategies, and the important role businesses and residents play in reporting incidents and supporting effective response efforts.
The RCMP will provide an update on downtown crime prevention initiatives planned for the summer and beyond, while sharing practical insights on how CPTED principles can help businesses and property owners create safer, more secure environments. Attendees will also learn how reporting incidents contributes to identifying trends, allocating resources, and enhancing the effectiveness and focus of law enforcement responses.
This session provides an opportunity to ask questions, share concerns, and explore how businesses, residents, property owners, and law enforcement can work together to support a safer and more vibrant downtown community.
