The Municipality’s construction season is well underway with 33 new projects in the works and 46 multi-year projects continuing to progress. Being in Northern Alberta, the construction window is usually less than six months, so a lot of work has to happen in a short period of time.

 Maintaining current infrastructure is the priority

Much of this year’s focus is on ensuring existing assets are in good shape including numerous playgrounds, parks and buildings.  Improvements are also planned for many underground services, roads and trails across the region.

Calgary Stampede Art Sneak Peek by Fort McMurray Artist Amy Keller-Rempp

We are thrilled to announce that Fort McMurray’s celebrated local artist, Amy Keller-Rempp, has been chosen as one of this year’s esteemed Artists at the Calgary Stampede Artist Studios! Amy has been diligently crafting a new luxury metal art series since January, and the results are truly breathtaking. Before her artwork is unveiled at the Calgary Stampede in July 2024, we invite our local community to an Exclusive Art Preview with Amy Keller-Rempp! Join us to be among the first to discover Amy’s latest masterpieces in Metal Art, Fur Painting, and the SkyDance Series. This event will take place June 10th 5pm-8pm at the Fort McMurray Golf Club, where you can enjoy a drink and appetizers from the Bear and Buffalo Restaurant while engaging directly with the artist and experiencing the premiere of her compelling collection. It promises to be an enchanting evening, and we would be delighted to have you join us!

This resource will provide detailed information on accessing programs and services, along with contact information for senior-specific programs, to help our aging community members and those who support them.
