The luncheon, presented by RBC, featured an enlightening Economic Update by Dominick Hardy, Senior Portfolio Manager and VP of Canadian Equity Strategies. Â Dominick Hardy, a distinguished professional with an impressive background, shared his expertise on various aspects of the economy, ranging from interest rates and inflation to recession concerns impacting the global economy. With his extensive experience in audit, corporate banking, and investment banking, Dominick provided valuable insights into the Canadian and Albertan sectors, focusing on areas such as Canadian Equity Income Guided Portfolio, Canadian Focus List, and Yield Insight & Opportunities. Â Attendees had the opportunity to engage with Dominick directly, asking questions and gaining valuable insights into how future economic trends might affect their businesses. The event covered a wide range of topics, including provincial and global economic outlooks, tactics to mitigate recession fears, and predictions for consumer demand and consumption in 2024. The Keyano Huskies are back with their 4th Annual Huskies Athletics Golf Tournament on Friday, August 23rd at the Fort McMurray Golf Club. This event raises funds for the athletics program to continue to support our community's collegiate student-athletes in finding success academically and athletically. Just as the community rallied together to cheer on the Men's Basketball team in earning the GOLD medal for the Huskies in the ACAC Men's Basketball Final Four Championship on March 1st and 2nd, we are looking for the community to rally together again and support our tournament. It is through events like this that we can continually provide an exceptional experience for our student-athletes who come from all over the province, nation, and world!
